- Training to end Users

Primary Accountabilities:

• Reproduce the customer incidents

Execute test cases/Perform exploratory testing/Regression Testing.

• Identify, isolate and report product defects and recommend corrective actions

test scripts ensuring (if required) ensuring that incidents are not addressed
with side-effects. Good understanding on the deployment environments &
different configurations. Ability to troubleshoot a problem based of incident
reports, assisting dev to reproduce the incidents. Ability to plan &
deliver patches - Test and certify the patches on the simulated customer
environments. Should be passionate, owner, excellent team player and ability to
mentor other members. Should have Strong Analytical skills to identify the root
cause & Problem solving ideas are required. Experience right from -
Planning a patch to tracking the same till delivering to the customer with high
quality is required.

Platforms/Operating Systems - Must have working knowledge of Windows XP, Windows
2003 or Windows 2000 configuration, including knowledge of Windows Active
Directory, DHCP, DNS and other infrastructure. Windows Vista knowledge is an
advantage. In addition, must have basic understanding of operating system
fundamentals. Any additional operating systems knowledge or experience is an
advantage

Networking - Must have a working understanding of network components and
infrastructure. This should include networking hardware and basic networking
theory

•Hardware - Must have a working understanding of PC hardware and other network

Roles and Responsibilities

Be a part of a Trading Systems Development Team in a startup company to play a critical, hands-on role in the launch of a new platform.

•             Establish and maintain test database environments

•             Implement production data server with hot back-ups in production and DR environments

•             Work under time constraints to meet the launch date and ensure high reliability and high performance upon the launch.

•             Map table columns of an existing platform to business processes using SQL logger and establish relationships in iterative approach

•             Ensure complete and accurate DB documentation of the current platform and update as necessary

•             Analyze and evaluate any and all application changes from a DB perspective

•             Learn the current architecture and be an active participant in the development of the next generation of this industry changing new platform. 

Qualifications:

•             Prior experience deploying and configuring mission critical High Availability database servers.

•             Hands on experience with SQL and relational databases (MS SQL Server, My SQL, Oracle or Sybase).

•             Strong software engineering skills with an emphasis on Data Modeling and associated tools.

•             Strong knowledge of LINUX and UNIX shell scripting.

•             Conceptual understanding of UML modeling.

•             Experience in electronic trading platforms for Fixed Income and Derivatives products (CDS and IRS).

•             Working knowledge of Java development

•             BS or MS in Computer Science or related fields.

•             Excellent communication skills and a willingness to collaborate with others.
