Position: Java Software Designer 
Reports To : Team Lead / Product Manager 
Location: Gurgaon. 


Job Description: 
The candidate must have 4 -6 years of extensive industry experience in Java /J2EE. 


Ideal Candidate will be responsible for : 


• To produce a technical specification by analysing the business or functional requirements. 
• To produce technical designs by understanding the detailed technical specifications and impacted applications. 
• To produce estimates for development of software by understanding the technical specifications and providing development efforts. 
• To ensure and influence development standards are adhered to by participating in conducting design and code reviews. 
• To deliver code that meets functional requirements by developing software against agreed specifications and timescales 
• To ensure defect free software by testing modules as per agreed specifications. 
• To arrive at the root cause of a production problem that has been escalated to level 3 by investigating the incident. 
• To take part in recruitment activities, L3 support (pre and post production) & participating in deployment & stakeholder communication 


Essential Experience: 


• Education – Clear and good track record throughout academics. Engineering / MCA from recognized and reputed institute. 
• Minimum 4 years of Java/J2EE development experience with at least 1 years of extensive experience in Spring, Struts & Hibernate (Design & Development). 
• Strong Development Experience of client side and server side java development using Core Java, Struts, spring, Hibernate, MVC design pattern, SOAP Web services. 
• Hand on experience of Web and Application servers like Tomcat, Apache, JBoss etc 
• Strong in relational databases and SQL (preferable Oracle 10G). 
• Experience of translating business/functional requirements to high/low level designs. 
• Working knowledge of various Software Development Methodologies and ability to apply them to specific projects. 
• Knowledge of unit test frameworks, their implementation and process integration (JUnit, Selena, etc.).
