Our client, a high profile company is currently seeking to recruit Senior SQL Server DBA.
Work as part of a team of developers, business analysts and DBAs to design, develop, test, and support transaction processing systems.
You must have strong analysis skills to identify consistent and complete solutions to complex processing requirements. The primary database environment is SQL Server Enterprise 2008, with a focus on a large volume of transactions. This position is for a growing company.
You have to have a strong database analytic skills, who is familiar with performance tuning and identifying bottlenecks. This person must work well in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify database inefficiencies and duplications
- Lead team with database design both logical and physical
- Monitor the Performance of our SQL Servers to keep them performing optimally
- Ensure that all scheduled jobs, packages and backups are occurring
- Has the ability to work with minimal direction
- Must be a self-starter
- Has the ability to take ownership of work and identifyinitiate needed enhancements
- Has the ability to work with multiple teams in order to define requirements
- Has the ability to work effectively with Level I support staff in order to resolve issues quickly
- Has the ability to learn and identify new technologies that can be leveraged based on requirements
- Has the ability to carry the implementation of new functionality all the way through multiple phases, including the definition and implementation of the operating environment
- Has the ability to support on call rotation schedules that cover weekends and after hours
- Has Financial Background (a plus)
- Candidate must have great communication skills including written and verbal Demonstrated experience in a fast-pacedmission-critical environment.
