Role & Responsibilities:

Business Objects software helps business users access, analyze and share
information to make swift, intelligent decisions ,business objects is a
front-end software tool to integrate querying, reporting and analysis,
business objects enables you to create reports that display accurate, up to
date data.

· Creates and modifies reports using multiple data sources in
Business Objects or similar reporting tool (including web-based reporting
capabilities, preferably Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services and/or
Business Objects)

· Designs report layouts

· Understands and uses SQL CASE statements and SQL stored procedures
to extract appropriate data per business rules in reports and universe
development Use Business Intelligence tools to create metrics, graphs

· Gathers business requirements from multiple sources, asking the
right questions to ensure reports meet the needs of the customer

· Develops and updates Business Objects Universe to access new data
and pull data for ad-hoc queries

· Creates one-time reports and data extracts per a users urgent
requests

· Schedules reports for regular deployment using enterprise tools

· Validates reports by comparing to data within production system

· Research and recognize data issues and discrepancies represented
in reports; validates between reports and data extracts

· Assists in data warehouse design and Universe design for optimal
report performance

· Perform relational database design and use SQL to analyze query
results and suggest changes to indexing strategies

· Training people to use the Business Intelligence tools
